Welcome To Mount Pleasant Primary School

I would like to acknowledge the Wathaurong People of the Kulin Nation who are the traditional custodians of this land upon which we work, live and play, and pay my respects to their elders past, present and emerging.

It is wonderful to be at such a vibrant school in the heart of Ballarat. Currently, MPPS has approximately 110 students, with 24 amazing teachers, ES, and admin staff. At Mount Pleasant PS, we aim to provide an inclusive, nurturing community where students grow and thrive. Our mission is to support the development of well rounded, confident, and responsible individuals who aspire to achieve their full potential through evidence-based instruction. We provide a welcoming, happy, inclusive, and supportive learning environment in which everyone is valued, and diversity is celebrated.  

I am passionate about continuing my learning journey through evidence informed teaching and learning practices to ensure that we can provide the best learning opportunities for our students. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with students, families and teachers to learn about their passions and aspirations for our Mount Pleasant learning community.

A child’s primary years are the most important years of their later life. As your child’s first educators, you continue to be the major influence of their learning and development during school years and long afterwards.

At MPPS, we have the important responsibility of working with you, to nurture and provide the educational foundations for their future. It is essential that we work together in partnership to ensure that your child achieves their maximum potential.

We pride ourselves on the relationships and strong connections between families, students, the school and the wider community. We work as a team to help students become literate and numerate, confident in their approach to social interactions, problem solving and in the use of technology and the arts – all in preparation for leading successful lives and following their desired pathways.
