Uniform

The wearing of the approved school uniform is compulsory at Mount Pleasant Primary School.

 Uniforms provides children with a sense of unity and pride in their school. It promotes the child’s well being and social acceptance by other children, and provides easy identification of students - particularly on excursions etc.

 The official school uniform is as follows:

  • navy blue tracksuit pants/trousers;
  • navy track suit top/rugby top with school logo;
  • navy unisex shorts;
  • sky blue polo shirt with school logo;
  • school sun hat - bucket or full brim style.

Girls may wear navy blue gingham dresses as an alternative to tracksuit pants/shorts.

Thongs are not permitted at school as they provide little or no protection for children’s feet. (Children may bring them when participating in the swimming program).

Our Sunsmart Policy necessitates that students wear a school hat (legionnaire or full brim style) when outdoor during terms 1 and 4 each year. Parents should encourage children to use sunscreen on hot days to provide protection from the harmful effects of the sun’s rays. Children may also wear sunglasses when outside to protect their eyes from the sun

Parents are asked to name all articles of clothing. Clothing is often mislaid or wrongly claimed when names are not clearly visible.
